Updating Avast and SalonTouch

You are able to download the salontouchdrivers.exe application that will install all missing DLL and OCX files used by SalonTouch.  This file can be used with any version of SalonTouch.


  1. Close SalonTouch.
  2. You will need to disable Avast before the installation can begin.
  3. Download the following filehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8kluu7Isas2UmVOUDh2dEtqNFU
  4. Right click on salontouchdrivers.exe and select Run as administrator.  You must be logged in using a Windows administrator account.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Click I Agree.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Click Next.
  9. SalonTouch will now install the drivers.
  10. Click Finish.
  11. You will need to know what bit version of the operating system you are using. Information on how to do this can be found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13443/windows-which-operating-system.
  12. Add an exclusion to Avast for the entire SalonTouch folder and one of the following files.  The file will depending on the bit version of the operating system you are using:

  • 64-bit Operating System:
  • c:\Windows\SysWOW64\esW25COM.OCX
    32-bit Operating System:
    c:\Windows\System32\esW25COM.OCX
    Documentation for how to add an exception to Avast can be found here: https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB168. The file will depend on the version of Windows you are using.
    1. Re-enable Avast.
    2. Open SalonTouch and open the register.
