What is the difference between a Hold, a Freeze, and an EFT Freeze

Modified on Tue, 02 Oct 2018 at 10:55 AM

All of these can be used to temporarily cause a client's account from being used, but there are some differences.

Account is on Hold: This option is used when a client will not be using their services for a specific time period and you want to be able to extend the expiration date of the client‟s services.  Often this is used for medical issues or vacations.

Account is Frozen: This option is used when a client will not be using their services for a specific time period and you do not want to extend the expiration date of the client‟s services. This is normally used for when fees are owed on the account and the salon does not want the client to use their services in any way.

EFT Membership is Frozen: This is similar to a Frozen account, but it only applies to services that are reoccurring EFT membership services.  The clients can still use any non-EFT services such as a single session package.  They are just not able to use any service that is marked as an EFT.  A Freeze for EFT memberships is sold at the register similar to a normal tan service.
