SalonTouch Evo to SalonTouch 10 Upgrade

These instructions are for use with a client that has SalonTouch Evolution already installed on the computer that SalonTouch 10 will be installed on. Double check the performance specifications of the computer to make sure it matches minimum system requirements https://www.salontouchstudio.com/system-requirements.html

Instructions below assumes you already have SalonTouch Evolution installed and set up. If you do not you can follow SalonTouch Evolution Installation

1. Download the most recent version of SalonTouch 10 from Google drive. A publicly facing link is for the most recent one that has been tested:

2. Right-click on setup.exe and select run as administrator. This is required for all upgrades that do not have SQL 2008 on the PC. You can also just run the SalonTouch10_2_19_install.msi. Run as administrator by highlighting it and pressing ctrl+shift+enter.
3. Use the 32-bit version of SAP Crystal Reports 13.0.23 as of 06-20-2018. It will be located C:\SalonTouch\SalonTouch 10\Extras_10\CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_23.msi. The setup.exe installer not install this program automatically and SalonTouch will not run reports.
4. Open SalonTouch 10
5. A connection window will appears. by default the User id and Password uid4idi is in the fields. Select the instance from the drop-down or type in the alias.
