I Cannot Search for A Client

Modified on Tue, 09 Aug 2016 at 04:17 PM

A registry cleaner software has removed information about the components of SalonTouch that control the client search screen.  There are two ways of resolving this issue.  The first is to re-install SalonTouch.  This will replace the registry information for the client list control.  The other option is to manually register the client list control below.

  1. Close SalonTouch.

  2. Open the Command Prompt with Administrator permissions.  Information on how to do this can be found here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc947813(v=ws.10).aspx

  3. You will need to know what bit version of the operating system you are using.  Information on how to do this can be found herehttps://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13443/windows-which-operating-system

  4. Run one of the two statements based on your operating system type from an administrator level command line prompt:
      • 32-bit Operating System:
        C:\windows\system32\RegSvr32.exe C:\windows\System32\SSubTmr6.dll
      • 64-bit Operating System:
        C:\wind
        ows\syswow64\RegSvr32.exe C:\windows\syswow64\SSubTmr6.dll

  1. Add an exception to exception for SalobnTouch.exe and the C:\windows\syswow64\SSubTmr6.dll or C:\windows\syswow64\SSubTmr6.dll to your registry clearer and/or anti-virus applications.
